If you know you want your scores to be reported to a college, you must select that college "score recipient" on the screen prior to beginning the exam (there is no fee for this). If you do not know which college to select, we recommend letting CLEP hold your test scores until you choose which college you would like to attend. There is a transfer fee of $20, which I understand you can do one time for all the CLEPs you have taken.
Fill out the application form to take the CLEP test (see link below to print one out). You will need a driver's license or a state ID (must have picture and signature) as well as two checks, one for CLEP and one for the testing center. Some testing centers accept a credit card and some require a money order for payment.
Below is information needed to take the CLEP exam. You must call the testing centers to make an appointment and get any other information that might be needed on their specific CLEP testing policies. At times they do change policies, change times, change directors, change cost, etc.
